Walking is a very important physical activity in brain injury recovery but it is equally important to quickly find a place to sit down and rest.  Jane takes exercise walks at malls and on the tread mill and orbital walker at the health club.  We also walk about one mile from our house to downtown Chestertown and back to our house.

In the year after Jane’s cerebral aneurysm she could only shuffle  and needed frequent sit-downs.  Ten years after her brain injury she walks well (2.5 on the treadmill) but still needs to sit down occasionally and loves the convenience of her seat/walking stick.  She used an English model for several years which cost twice as much as Sport Seat and was not as light weight and trim.
